Friends of the city is a program that aims to improve the livelihood of socially discriminated waste workers in Katmandu.

Designed and run by Himalayan Climate Initiative, the program secures its funding thanks to its plastic bottle recollection center and therefore enhances the social profile and economic status of the waste workers, while making the city clean and green.
